Africa Day celebrates African culture and diversity, while highlighting the strong links which exist between Ireland and many countries on the African continent.
Each year, many events are organised across Ireland to mark the Day. The flagship celebration took place at Farmleigh, in Dublin's Phoenix Park, with President Michael D. Higgins in attendance.
