President Higgins received Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, to Áras an Uachtaráin on a courtesy call.
During their meeting President Higgins and President El-Sisi, discussed Irish-Egyptian bilateral relations and international cooperation.
This is the first visit of President El-Sisi to Ireland. The last visit of an Egyptian president was by Hosni Mubarak in 2006.
