The Young Environmentalist Awards (YEA) is an all-Ireland environmental awards programme that recognises and rewards young people who raise environmental awareness and improve the environment.
President Higgins is Patron of ECO-UNESCO and has made the issue of environmental protection and combating climate change one of the core themes of his Presidency.
