President Higgins receives H.E. André Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Costa Rica

President Higgins will welcome H.E. André Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Costa Rica to Áras an Uachtaráin on a courtesy call.

2025 marks 25 years of bilateral relations between Ireland and Costa Rica.

President Higgins visited Costa Rica in October 2013, on a three-country official visit which included Mexico and El Salvador. During his visit to Costa Rica, he met with then-President Laura Chinchilla, then Costa Rican Minister for the Environment, René Castro, and delivered a keynote address at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in San José.
