President Michael D. Higgins was presented with the Honorary IFTA Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Irish Film and Television industry at the 11th Annual IFTA Awards in 2014.
President Higgins was introduced and presented the Award by actors Colin Farrell and Amy Huberman and celebrated with video messages from Mel Gibson, Neil Jordan and Jim Sheridan.
