President Michael D. Higgins sends his congratulations to Leaving Cert students

President Michael D. Higgins has extended his congratulations to all those young people who today received their Leaving Certificate examination results.
“Today is an important day in the lives of thousands of young people around the country, as they receive the results of what was for all of them their most significant academic test to date.
I hope that all of them can receive their results with undiminished confidence in the future and with renewed respect for the fruits of personal and collective effort - and that they can now set out on a journey of opportunities, learning and fulfilment, in solidarity with others.
Young people in Ireland and elsewhere have the ability to transform our society and help build an Ireland where young and old can live happy, fulfilled lives in a strong and vibrant society.”
