President Higgins addresses AEPI webconference ‘Responding to Covid-19 - The situation in Africa’

President Higgins today addressed a web-conference on the response to the Covid-19 pandemic in Africa.
The conference, organised by AEPI, the African-European Parliamentarians Initiative, examined the options and difficulties of addressing the covid19 pandemic and the lessons learned from past epidemics such as the Ebola outbreaks.
The web conference was hosted by Mike Murphy, and participants included parliamentarians, academics and practitioners from many European and African countries.
