President Higgins officially inaugurated Parco Italia with H.E. Mr. Sergio Mattarella, President of Italy.
Lucan House has been the official residence of the Italian ambassador to Ireland for over 80 years.
Ownership of the Estate has been formally transferred to South Dublin County Council and will become a public cultural amenity, known as Parco Italia, when the current ambassador Ruggero Corrias is due to depart in June.
