At the fourth Garden Party of 2023, the President and Sabina Higgins welcomed community members, activists, and all those dedicated to fostering a sustainable future for citizens in Ireland and beyond.
The event was MC’d by Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh and featured musical performances from Shane Hennessy, Modern Love and the Hothouse Flowers.
President Higgins and Sabina have been strong supporters of the Sustainable Development Goals, and have been advocating the changes necessary to ensure a more sustainable future for Ireland and the world.
In 2020 President Higgins initiated a biodiversity survey to identify ways to protect plant and animal life around Áras an Uachtaráin. Click here to read more about the project.
