At the invitation of the President, the Honorary Consul to the Philippines, Mark Christopher Congdon will visit the President in Áras an Uachtaráin to discuss the impact of the Super Typhoon Haiyan on the people of the Philippines.
Earlier today, President Higgins forwarded a letter to President Aquino expressing support and sympathy on his own behalf, and on behalf of the Irish people, to the people of the Philippines at this most difficult time.
