President Michael D. Higgins and HRH the Duke of Kent, President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, unveiled a Cross of Sacrifice to honour Ireland’s war dead at Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin.
The Cross of Sacrifice at Glasnevin was the first to be erected in the Republic of Ireland and honours servicemen who died in the First and Second World Wars.
