Their Excellencies, the Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Republic of Korea, Iceland and the Democratic Republic of Congo presented their Letters of Credence to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin.
* H.E. Mr. Sekhulumi Paul Ntsoaole, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Lesotho was accompanied by his spouse, Ms. Nongubonde Ntsoale, his daughter Ms. Gugulethu Ntsoaole and by Mr. Kutloano Pheko, Counsellor.
* H.E. Mr. Woon-Ki Lyeo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea was accompanied by his spouse, Ms. Yeon-hee Chang and by Mr. Samju Kwak, Counsellor.
* H.E. Mr. Stefan Johannesson, Ambassador of the Republic of Iceland travelled from London for the event.
* H.E. Ms. Marie Ndjeka Opombo, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo, also travelled from London, and was accompanied by Mr. Phinees Muepu Kabango, Attaché.
Ms. Mary Mitchell O’Connor, T.D, Minister of State for Higher Education at the Department of Education and Skills represented the Government at the ceremony.
The following were also present: Mr. Conor Ó Raghallaigh, Deputy Secretary General to the President; Col. Liam Condon, Aide-de-Camp to the President; Mr. Barrie Robinson, Political Director at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mr. Feilim McLaughlin, Mr. Joe Brennan, Mr. Patrick O’Reilly and Ms. Amy Colgan, Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The Ambassadors were accompanied to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2 Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Second Lieutenant Jason Nugent.
A Guard of Honour was provided at Áras an Uachtaráin by the 12 Infantry Battalion, Sarsfield Barracks, Limerick under the command of Lieutenant Pauric Ahern.
Captain Thomas Kelly conducted the Army No. 2 Band, Custume Barracks, Athlone.
