President Higgins welcomed the former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Ms. Nancy Pelosi, to Áras an Uachtaráin on a courtesy call.
Ms. Pelosi was accompanied by her husband Paul, US Ambassador H.E. Ms. Claire D. Cronin and senior staffer, Kate Knudson.
Ms. Pelosi served as the 52nd speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2019 to 2023.
President Higgins previously met Ms. Pelosi when he hosted a working meeting for a US Congressional delegation at Áras an Uachtaráin in April 2019. Link.
