President Connolly formally opened the Aleen Cust Memorial Society conference in Galway.
Aleen Cust was the first woman to qualify as a veterinary surgeon in Ireland and England. This year’s conference, Women at the Heart of Veterinary Heritage and Agricultural Progress, will celebrate Aleen Cust and women in veterinary and agriculture, exploring heritage, innovation and equality.
