President Higgins will receive H.E. Mr. Mauro Vieira, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil to Áras an Uachtaráin on a Courtesy Call.
Mr. Mauro Vieira was previously Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil in 2015 and 2016 and assumed office again in January 2023.
President Higgins met President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva while attending the United Nations General Assembly in September 2024. In his statement for World Humanitarian Day 2024, President Higgins highlighted the recently launched global campaign to end hunger and poverty by President Lula da Silva.
