Their Excellencies, the Ambassador of Hungary, the Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana and the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia presented their Letters of Credence to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin today.
- H.E. Mr. István Manno, Ambassador of Hungary, was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Bernadett Manno Istvánné Dankó, his daughter, Miss Mona Paloma Manno, his son, Mr. Manuel István Manno, and Mr. János Magdó, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Hungary.
- H.E. Rev. Dr. John N. G. Seakgosing, Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana, was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Lulu Talitha Seakgosing, and Mr. Johannes Kabelo Moribame, Counsellor, Embassy of Botswana.
- H.E. Ms. Aleksandra Miovska, Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia was accompanied by Mrs. Eli Bojadjieska Ristovski, Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of North Macedonia.
Mr. Richard Bruton, T.D., Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, represented the Government at the ceremony. The following were also present: Mr. Art O’Leary, Secretary General to the President; Mr. Niall Burgess, Secretary General, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Joe Brennan, Ms. Marylee Wall, and Mr. Frank Bradley, Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The Ambassadors were accompanied to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2 Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Lieutenant Evan Duggan.
A Guard of Honour was provided at Áras an Uachtaráin by 1 Brigade Artillery Regiment, Collins Barracks, Cork, under the command of Lieutenant Emmet Murphy. Captain Thomas Kelly conducted the Army No. 1 Band, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin.
