Ambassadors present their credentials

Their Excellencies, the Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Kazakhstan and Jamaica presented their Letters of Credence to the President at Áras an Uachtaráin today. 

H.E. Mr. Nail Al-Jubeir, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was accompanied by his spouse Dr. Maysoon Almazyed and Mr. Ali Aldosari, Chargé d’Affaires.

H.E. Mr. Erlan Idrissov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan was accompanied Mr. Dauren Dosszhanov, Counsellor;

H.E. Mr. Seth George Ramocan, Ambassador of Jamaica was accompanied by his spouse Dr. Lola Ramocan;

 

Minister of State John Paul Phelan T.D, Minister of State for Local Government and Electoral Reform represented the Government at the ceremony.

The following were also present: Mr. Conor Ó Raghallaigh, Deputy Secretary General to the President; Col. Liam Condon, Aide-de-Camp to the President; Mr. Bobby McDonagh, Deputy Secretary General, Policy and Communications Unit, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mr. Joe Brennan, Ms. Claire Buckley and Mr. Patrick O’Reilly, Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The Ambassadors were accompanied to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2 Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Lieutenant Chris Humphries. 

A Guard of Honour was provided at Áras an Uachtaráin by the Naval Service, Haulbowline, Co. Cork under the command of Sub-Lieutenant John Buckley. Captain Fergal Carroll conducted the Army No. 1 Band, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin.
