Address welcoming the 1991 FAI Cup winning Galway United team

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1991 victory in the FAI Cup, President Michael D. Higgins hosted a reception for the Galway United team's players, coaches and families at Áras an Uachtaráin.

Speech at a Conference Organised by Scholars at Risk Ireland

The President will deliver the opening address at the "Ideas Are Not Crimes" conference organised by the Irish section of the Scholars at Risk Network and Universities Ireland.

In his speech, the President will highlight the increase in attacks on higher education communities around the world, with academics being attacked because of their words, their ideas or their place in society.
